Q. What’s the difference between Hilary’s shoot and Team MissH’s shoots?
A. The main difference will be the leading photographer’s experience levels and availability. Hilary’s shoots are usually booked up months before, so Team MissH’s shoots will have more flexibility for shoot dates & budget. Hilary will be overlooking the planning & final delivery of the shoot but won’t be present at the shoots & consultation meetings.
Q. Who will be the make up artist for Team MissH’s Shoot?
A. A make up artist from Born To Glow Makeup (founded by Cherry Wong)’s team will be MUA for Team MissH’s shoot.
Q. How long before should I book a shoot?
A.Team MissH’s shoots will have more available dates for choosing. We recommend booking 1 month before to allow time for consultation meetings & prep.
Q. Should I be looking for outfits before meeting with you?
A. We highly recommend you confirm any gown & venue choices AFTER meeting with us at our studio. You can start looking for ideas & try on outfits, but before confirming anything please check with us. This is important for styling & planning a successful shoot.
Q. How many looks can I do in a prewedding shoot?
A. Fore prewedding shoots we recommend doing 2 styles / 2 locations. Rarely do we do 3 looks as it is quite rushed and we find 2 looks is the sweet spot. If the 3rd look is easy to change into, it’s possible to do a 3rd look (in the same location with the same make up / hairstyle).
Q. Will you help with styling the shoot?
A. We will give you tips on where to shop and share with you our list of favouite vendors as well as helping you with making styling decisions as you shop.
Q. Where do you usually do photo shoots? Do I have to book the venue myself?
A. For prewedding shoots, we recommend doing one indoor location (hotel rooms / studio) + one outdoor location (beach, grassland, architecture, mountain tops). For indoor venues, you will have to book the hotel room yourself unless you are shooting at our own studio.
Q. Do you have outfits/props we can borrow?
A. We do have a few items that you can borrow from us for styling your portrait shoots, such as silk slips, robes and veils that you can mix and match with your own outfits (DM us for more details). However, we encourage you to shop for 1-2 outfits yourself which makes the shoot more personal and memorable. It’s part of the fun!
Q. I am not confident at all and I don’t know how to pose, but I love your photos! Can I still do a shoot with you?
A. Our team is trained to bring out the best of you and make shooting experiences comfortable and approachable. We are experts in guiding you to look and feel your best. All of our clients say they are nervous and inexperienced in front of cameras, so leave it to us to guide you and have fun!
Q. I’m not comfortable having our photos posted on social media, will you ask us before posting?
A. Definitely! We will check with you before posting your photos online / used in our portfolio. We respect your comfortability being on social media. However we would definitely love to share your beautiful photos.
Q. How should I pick a wedding gown or an outfit? I have no clue where to start.
A. Start by trying a few different silhouettes and see which flatters you the most. Consider different necklines, shapes and designs of the dress. Think of the mood it gives you. There’s a wide range of outfits from soft, feminine, bold, edgy and romantic. It can be overwhelming to pick and choose a gown, but a good vendor shop will help you along with it. We will also give you some ideas on it!
Q. Can I bring my pet to the shoot?
A. We definitely love to involve your pets in part of your shoot!

Q. Your social media content is mainly in English. What languages do you speak?
A. Our team is fluent in Cantonese and English and can speak a bit of mandarin.
